Sembawang West Biathlon Challenge 2025
Usually takes place the beginning of the year, this time the challenge took place in August instead. Would have casually missed it if not for a reminder from the Out In SG group targeting for biathlons.

[…]PJ actually stands for Petaling Jaya, for some you might know that Putra Jaya is also nearby and might confuse there with Petaling Jaya. But I think Malaysians will not have mistaken this. Joined this race the last time in 2018 with the Tortoise runners and did the half marathon. Then it was their first time having the 30km route, which this time I decided to sign up and see for myself what is it like.
[…]It is not the first time I join Trifactor but first time doing a longer than OD distance, although not by a lot. I was thinking that it could be a good chance to lead up to the Full Ironman coming up in September. Still not so confident with my bicycle leg. The sign up[…]
Ocean man in Europe again this time at Athens. I thought that if during summer the water temperature will be warmer like Singapore, but I was wrong 23 deg was the water temperature. This year I decided to do the so called yearly “big” trip in June instead of the usual year end. First time going that part of the world during summer, it was a different experience and I loved the feeling of not having to brave the cold and bring a lot of winter clothing. But[…]
This race is an yearly affair with distances of half marathon, 15km, 10km and 5km. The race can be signed up online from this website: https://www.income.com.sg/ecorun. This year in order to celebrate 55years anniversary of Income, they are giving free slots to participants aged 55 and above.
Rinjani 100 is a tough, very tough race, more so in the past where there were only 50 and above categories. It was a race that no one dare to dream unless you are at least a 450 mountain level in the ITRA Index. There were many bloggers writing how tight and tough this race is and to finish it means only the best of the best. The recent years saw a more manageable category of 27km and 36km where runners can enjoy the scenery of Rinjani without going through a real arduous race.
IT all started when I started to look for races to join in this year, of course after planning all the biggies. I started to look around for nearer races to participate like in Malaysia or Thailand.
I became a MR 25 runners club member during the Covid times. To speak the truth, I am pretty mediocre runner compared to some of the more powerhouses in the club. We also have ex National Runners in this club, making it kind of a prestige.
