This year the Terry Fox run took place on 30th Nov at the East Coast Park Angsana Green. They had the 10km and 5km non competitive run. I had missed running for this event the last year and this year, I decided to just participate it alone.

This is the second time I am pacing for Great Eastern Women 10km. The first time was my first stint in 2023 with Dorine and Gina from the Running Department. Running Department seems to be the club now which handles most of the pacing jobs in Singapore with Singapore marathon as the major project year. Singapore at the moment now only has one marathon and that happens in Dec yearly, the Singapore marathon. Great Eastern Women run has up to only 21km, but yet it is the most celebrated women run in Singapore and the region.

Held on the 2nd Nov this year, usually in Sep. This time the race is a bit later than usual but being the SG60 race, there were more discount given up to 60% off on the 6th of the month prior to the race. When the Sirei Park Trail event got cancelled in August, the organiser Lumens gave me a choice to take a couple of races up or get a refund. I decided to take on the Kledang challenge as I was balloting for the Hong Kong 100 then. I thought it might be good to do some training and at the same time get to go Ipoh and visit Joey, having her say that the Bukit Kledang (RTM) route is something that she always wanted to bring me to.

It was a dream to do a full ironman for me this lifetime. 2019 I signed up for Bintan 70.3 half Ironman, I thought maybe it is a good time for me to get down and fulfil my dream. However, Covid hit 2020 and the dream was shattered, but all the better because I will end up just becoming the same thing as I did for the previous triathlons, just jump in and hope that having a more decent run time can assist the completion.

The last time was 2019, bunch of 200 runners gather to do round island in 200 hours. It was a fun fund raising event for the National Kidney Foundation. The relay was held on 4 Sep for 60 hours, I took the first slot at 6am that morning.
