Rinjani 100 _ 36KM Version

Rinjani 100 is a tough, very tough race, more so in the past where there were only 50 and above categories.  It was a race that no one dare to dream unless you are at least a 450 mountain level in the ITRA Index.  There were many bloggers writing how tight and tough this race is and to finish it means only the best of the best.  The recent years saw a more manageable category of 27km and 36km where runners can enjoy the scenery of Rinjani without going through a real arduous race.

Dieng Trail Run 2023 Indonesia

As Gede Pangrango race was postponed without a proper update, I started to search around for some Indonesia races to fill up the gap as the air ticket cannot wait.  Chanced upon this race at the Asian Trail Master site, and it was one of their championship race.  There was also a quiz going then on the Facebook page for free entry slot.

This was a postponed race from 2020.  Was really looking forward to it then as I promised to join with my Indonesian running friend, Jusuf, whom I met in Tahura Marathon at Bandung.  We had always wanted to meet again for a race in Indonesia and when we finally wanted to do this, Covid hit in 2020.
