Seems like I have been joining this run with Siew Ling ever since we started the Siew Ling special support crew. This year the Run for Inclusion or RFI is a by invite only activity, organisers probably want to keep it a cosy affair with the Running Hour family.
The event took place 15 Nov at the Stadium Kallang. The tentage was set up at the outdoor arena beside the volley ball court. There were registration, goodie bag booth and the AV systems were set up with music and stuff. All the usual suspects for Running Hour were there, Mike and Gilles dressed up as Mario and Lugi to cheer the crowd. Arthur and Elaine with their kids, Andreas, the rest of the kids. Some of the members doubled up as volunteers to marshal the crowd through the route.
The were the 3km and 5km route, some ran some walked. But all had fun, there was a warm up session with some dancing before the race was flagged off at 5:30pm. I picked up Siew Ling rather early as we were told to come earlier but I did not know that the race start at 5:30pm only. There was a lot of hype and fun and we flagged off together with the 5 km runners.
The Route
The route was simple, go down the new park connector towards the Decathlon, we cross the bridge to the other side to return back to Tanjong Rhu and all the way to Passion Wave area before we U turn and walk back to the start point which is also our finish line. Along the way volunteers acted as marshallers and motivators guiding the runners and walkers to finish the race. We chatted more than really walked or run in this race and it was always nice to be chilling out with Siew Ling.

Me and Siew Ling met many people along the way, we also took time to take photographs. The days was really good and windy also. When we passed the finish line a lot of people were there cheering for us, I brought Siew Ling to collect her goodie bag as only the buddies receive the goodie bags. There were towel , bread, water and shoe lace inside the bag, it was quite good.
We took a few finishing photos and then we headed to Old Town for dinner before sending her home.
