UTMB is like the holy grail for most trail runners, it is not an easy feat spanning over 3 countries 10K worth of elevation and 160KM of running. It is a lot of hard work and training to be able to complete this 100 miler. However, UTMB now as world series that includes an array of distance over different terrain in different countries to let runners of different levels enjoy the joys of trail running. Lavaredo Ultra Trail is one of them in the series and also a pretty popular one so much so you also need to ballot for it to attend. Joining this race was also to gain running stones to ballot for the CCC which is the 100K of the UTMB race.
