And again its the swim for hope season. Joined back again this year, price of the event is still the same but you can chose to hybrid swim in person at the respective SAFRA swimming pools or virtually by yourself.
This year there were many of the sports group of mine wanting to form teams to join this event. My first priority is to the Siloso open water swimmers whom I swim with on the weekend. This time Junlong was the one who initiated the signing up. A couple of us got the team formed, in the end we have about 12 people in the team. Some of whom I have no idea was as our Siloso group is rather large.

Basically, we just need to clock the timing and log on to the Swim For Hope site and input the distance and duration of your swim. They did not require you to upload screenshot of your swim, so it makes me wonder that some participants might take the opportunity to play with the system. In any case I guess we are not going to be the podium level so just try our best. https://safras4h.sg/
There is no race pack collection, so basically there are a couple physical swim dates you can chose and you can collect the goodie bag at the same time if you are going to finish the 50km requirement.

I chose to go to the Mt Faber Safra as it is near to my house and I felt that the area is aging so will not be that crowded compared to the satellite towns. Indeed, I chose a 4pm slot on Sunday afternoon and it was quiet and tranquil. I enjoyed the swim as there were not many people around crashing the lane, as I almost finishing my swim quota, the organiser just gave me the goodie bag, it comes with the medal and finisher tee also, with many other goodies inside too. The swim was basically doing laps but they have lifeguard , hydration and fuel which is mainly banana and Monster drink.

As I swam in the morning open water, I was pretty tired and quite reluctant to put in more laps. I eventually only did 1.8km. And just chilled for a while by the pool since the pool was near to the Mt faber park. The evening was tranquil, I simply love the Safra pools because their showers are hot and good, there is also hairdryer to dry up the hair.
This was another lone activity beside clocking the miles together with the Siloso swimmers during the weekend swim, but overall it was a good activity and I enjoyed myself. Not sure if our donations will rise up but as of now it was status quo.
